Most metals can be infinitely recycled without losing quality. With the right treatment end-of-life metals can be re-processed and returned into the market as new high-quality materials with a far lower energy demand (and carbon footprint) than for first-life metals. By encouraging circularity in production, we can source, recycle & repeat.
Metals such as platinum & palladium, silver, cobalt, steel, copper, and aluminium play a key role in the growth of renewable energy and battery technologies designed to combat climate change and achieve net zero targets. Unimetals understands the urgency of having readily available access to these critical materials. Maximising the recycling flows of these metals is critical to meeting the expected demand growth for these metals.
We strive to minimise our environmental footprint through innovative recycling practices. We aim to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, conserve natural resources, and support circular economy initiatives and help the UK reach its zero-landfill goal by 2050.
To fill this gap will require additional mining production and new metal supplies. Where Unimetals acquires metal (including concentrates and other intermediate forms) from source, we follow stringent due diligence process to onboard our suppliers and ensure every kilo of goods we processes has been sourced from responsibly run operations.
By sourcing from both primary and secondary sources we are better able to maintain stable production volumes, timing and quality.
It is our commitment to our partners, our stakeholders, our communities and ourselves that we will ensure a responsible and reliable sourcing, supply, processing and delivery of metal.
We can provide current metal prices in your area, arrange a scrap metal collection or find out more about our entire range of metal recycling services.
